GALAXIA
1980 GALAXIA 2008
The original band started in late 1978, and was known
as GALAXIA 3 , it was one of the first mexican grupero bands in
Rockford Illinois. Grupo Galaxia 3 disbanded in 1981. My
Dad , Brother and I decided to remake the band, so in
december of 1993 we started El Grupo
Galaxia.
We are a
Regional Mexican Cover Band, that specializes in Grupero music
like : Cumbia, Tropical, Corridos, Rancheras, Norteno, Tejano,
Duranguense, Tex-Mex, Boleros, Sonidero, Country, Baladas,
Vallenato, Rock , Boleros and Banda.
We are a
six time BEST OF ROCKFORD WINNER, and
also a 4 TIME ROCKFORD AREA MUSIC INDUSTRY
WINNER ( RAMI ) for best Latino Band.
We
perform all over Illinois, Wisconsin, and Iowa, Including
:
Rockford, Belvedere, Rochelle, Roscoe, Freeport, Harvard,
Merengo, Huntly, Woodstock, Mchenry, Algonquin, Carpentersville,
Elgin, Aurora, Chicago, Mount Morris, Peoria, Monmouth, Galesburg,
Moline, Sterling, Rockfalls, Silvis, Beloit, Janesville, Madison,
Monroe, Sun Prairie, Columbus, Fond Du Lac, Oshkosh, Davenport, Iowa
City, Cedar Rapids, Waterloo, Dubuque, Des
Moines.
